Daniel graduated from McCollum High School. While growing up he enjoyed playing baseball, swimming and fishing. He loved going on family vacations to Padras Island, Rockport, and along Texas fishing coast. Later in life he went on a Caribbean Cruise his mother and son.

He worked in the Food Service Industry at Snoga’s Bar-B-Que Restaurant for 15 years. He loved going to Flea Markets. He enjoyed helping his relatives, neighbors and friends. He had garage sales with his neighbors.

Oliver attended Tech High School, San Antonio, Texas. He worked for the draft board in 1943 as his eyesight was too poor to actually serve in World War II. One of his jobs was to take the blood samples of the draftees to the laboratory. He worked for civil service in Sacramento, California and Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. Oliver began working on cars as a teen. He worked for Martin's Garage where he acquired much of his knowledge from Charlie Martin. He was a race car driver out on the old track on the Old Austin Highway, but was short-lived due to his parents concerns of the activity. Oliver's hobbies were cars and selling at the flea market. He also had his own garage at various times. He enjoyed traveling and family outings to Shady Acres near Bandera.

Oliver married Henrietta Novella PIPER on 16 May 1953 in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas, USA. Henrietta (daughter of Harry PIPER and Katherine Mary AUBERLE) was born on 15 Jun 1933 in Schertz, Guadalupe, Texas, USA; died on 16 Jan 2015 in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas, USA; was buried on 22 Jan 2015 in Mission Burial Park South, San Antonio, Bexar, Texas, USA. Henrietta attended school in Blanco, Texas in 1950. She obtained a degree in sociology from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1980. She worked for Carnation Fresh, Alamo Iron Works, and as a substitute teacher for the Harlandale ISD. In December of 1974, she began working for the Texas Department of Human Resources where she became a supervisor. She retired in 1993 as the result of an accident.

Paul was born at the Nassau Farm and attended school in Round Top and La Grange. He went to university at Hildesheim, Germany with his brother Axel. However, he returned to Texas the next summer. In La Grange, he studied law under Judge Teichmuller and later at Vanderbilt University, graduating in the class of 1881. At one time he served as deputy sheriff in La Grange for two years. He practiced law in La Grange until 1889 when he moved his family to San Antonio, joining his brother in the real estate business. In 1900 he was elected Bexar County Tax Collector, serving until 1908.

He and his wife celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary while on board ship to Germany. Then at the age of 57 he had a severe case of pneumonia, leaving him very weak. As a result, he was ordered by a physician to spend some time in New Mexico. Years later he acquired diabetes, later dying from complications of this illness.

Paul married Bertha L. FREDE on 2 Jun 1883 in La Grange, Fayette, Texas, USA. Bertha (daughter of August FREDE and Barbara FINK) was born on 4 Jul 1862 in La Grange, Fayette, Texas, USA; died on 12 Oct 1948 in San Antonio, Bexar, Texas, USA; was buried on 14 Oct 1948 in Mission Burial Park South, San Antonio, Bexar, Texas, USA. Notes:

Bertha was orphaned, along with her three brothers, at the age of five. During childhood she lived with her grandmother Elise Frede, her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. John Schuhmacher of La Grange, and later with another aunt, Mrs. Kate Wurzbach of San Antonio.

She was fond of music, enjoyed crocheting, gardened, and traveled.
