  William attended school in Buckholts, Texas and helped his parents on the farm. He and Lucille were married on Christmas Eve and he left the next day for Galveston for the Army. After the war he worked for the school and drove a school bus until he retired. William loved hunting, fishing, gardening, and working in the year. He made and sold crafts.
