  • Notes
    • John graduated from the University of Texas with a B.A. in chemistry and a Master's degree in mathematics. He served two years in the U.S. Navy in California as a radio technician. He returned to the University of Texas in 1944 and obtained a Bachelor's degree in chemistry and a Master's degree in applied mathematics. He ranched in El Dorado and Ballinger, Texas, during the drought from 1951 to 1959. He moved to California in 1959 to work for North American Aviation near Los Angeles on the Minuteman missile. After spending 1970 as a commodities broker, he returned to North American Aviation Division of Rockwell to work on the B-1 bomber in the EMP shielding test lab. He wrote many articles and papers on shielding. One of several suggestions to Rockwell was patented. He retired from the B-1 Division in 1981. One highlight was EMI testing the space shuttle engine computer for a month at the Santa Susanna firing facility near Los Angeles. He consulted for Rockwell and G&H Technology on shielding. He set up Miller Enterprises to handle consulting, patents, and commodity market system development. He was active in his church and scouting.
