    • Larry Froelich was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Point Comfort and had also been a member of the Salem Lutheran Church Council in Port Lavaca. He was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church Masonic Order A.F.&A.M. and Veterans of Foreign Wars. Larry was a manager for Central Power & Light Company in the Port Lavaca and Point Comfort area from 1955 to 1978. He was chairman of the Calhoun County Navigation District in 1969 and a commissioner of the navigation district from 1968 to 1973 and from 1980 to 1985. He also served as director of the Mid-Coast Water Development Board in 1972. Larry was also a chairman of the Salvation Army in Port Lavaca and president of the Rotary Club from 1960 to 1961, the Chamber of Commerce and the United Fund. He also served as a member of the original City Charter Commission, City Parks Commission, the Boy Scouts Planning Council and the Champ Traylor Hopital Advisory Committee.
