- Lois met her future husband at Fayetteville, Texas, where they were both teaching in the high school. They were introduced by Lois’s cousin, Kelsye Weber Garces. Between 1939 and 1952, she and B. E. resided in Fayetteville, Brenham and Austin before returning to La Grange where she lived the final 14 years of her life. There she and her husband operated the local International Harvester, Pontiac and Oldsmobile dealership.
