- Marilyn was born and grew up in Los Angeles County, California. She was a 1951 graduate of Covina High School.
She married Ray Bratton Lane on 5 Aug 1952 at her parents home in La Puente, Los Angeles County, California. They had 2 sons, Mike and Greg. After Uncle Ray died, she married Albert Henry Mergel on 2 Dec 1977 in Las Vegas, Clark County, Nevada.
She was a very talented Artist and painted some beautiful pictures. She had a loving and giving nature and was a dedicated Jehovah's Witness, who was baptized 4 Aug 1956. We will see her again in Paradise.
Marilyn fell asleep in death about 6 pm today under the care of Hospice at the Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks. She is survived by her loving husband, 2 sons, 2 step-children and 6 grandchildren.
When I met her nephew Stephen (my husband) when I was 16, she and I became fast friends and confidants. When we would go to visit their family, her and I would sit up on her bed and talk for hours about everything. I could confide anything to her and I knew she would keep it between us. I love her and miss her so very much.
Our Precious Auntie will forever be Loved and Missed.
