Notes |
- Minna was ten years old when she immigrated to the United States with her family. They entered the country at Baltimore, Maryland, rode the train to Texas, and settled at La Grange. When nineteen years old, the family moved to Sharp. There she married Hugo. Minna was a hard worker around the house, maintaining a vegetable garden, raising chickens, growing flowers, and housework. However, she also regularly visited the sick at King’s Daughter’s Hospital in Temple, taking them flowers from her garden. She was a member of the Lutheran Church and the Lutheran Ladies’ Aid Society, for whom she served as secretary for six years.
