  Ross was a farmer and rancher, and continued to live on the family homestead until he and Dora moved to Sunrise Creek due to failing health. Ross loved his mountains and lived where he could see them his entire life. Ross loved nature, and watching the birds and wildlife. He especially enjoyed beekeeping, gardening, landscaping and Sunday afternoon drives.
